So You Want to Write for the Public?

Check out the trailer from the second of six trainings from Anthropologists on the Public Stage: https://youtu.be/u4bVk5lx4K0

"Connect with the Media" (12:52) helps you learn easy-to-use strategies so that writing for the public is straightforward, feasible, and helpful. Among the anthropologists featured are Chip Colwell, Dori Tunstall, and Ed Liebow. Tips from journalists and public relations professionals are provided along with useful websites. The exercise involves gathering information on local news outlets, becoming familiar with the work of local media professionals, and using a template as a guide for writing a pitch to an editor or journalist.
